Avoid water ponds near lighting poles: Muscat Municipality

Muscat Municipality has issued a warning regarding the water ponds that gather around the lighting poles during the rainfall.

A statement issued online by Muscat Municipality said, "The Muscat Municipality notes the necessity of avoiding the water ponds that gather around the lighting poles and the electrical complexes near them. The municipality also points out the danger in approaching lighting poles, or tampering with electrical wires during the rains. Please note that you should not approach the deep excavations on the sites of projects that are close to lighting poles, with the possibility of exposed wires."

Muscat Municipality requests everyone to be careful and cautious. In the event that anyone notices the existence of an electrical danger in any of the lighting poles, please contact the Municipality on their toll-free number (1111) to provide assistance with competent authorities.
