Be cautious if you’re visiting these beaches in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries has cautioned guests that the shorelines of the Sultanate in Dhofar Governorate are right now seeing an enormous quantities of toxic marine animals like the jellyfish named 'Portuguese man o' war' and 'Blue Bottle.' 

These kinds of jellyfish are seen predominantly in the sea shores of Al-Mughassil Beach and Taqah, as indicated by an announcement gave by the Ministry on Wednesday. 

"The specialists gathered examples so as to group the article that was seen as of the sort Physalia Utriculus common in the Indian-Pacific Ocean, and it is viewed as less harmful than the other kind spread in the Atlantic Ocean, which is the sort Physalia Physalis." 

"The nibble of the Portuguese warship in the Indian-Pacific Ocean P. utriculus may make serious torment with some minor moderate wellbeing confusions, for example, slices to the skin, redness and scratching, and inconveniences may increment in youngsters, the old and those with feeble invulnerability." 

"Consequently, alert is required when swimming or grounding in the said district or some other territory in which it is seen to be available," the Ministry included.
