Cyclone Hikaa: Mwasalat plans to suspend trips to Sharqiyah, Wusta Governorates

Mwasalat is planning to suspend trips to the governorates of Wusta and South Sharqiyah, should tropical storm Hikaa get too severe.

A statement by Oman’s national transportation company said, “Mwasalat announced the possibility of trip suspension due to the two governorates being affected by the extraordinary weather conditions during the next few days on the routes of Muscat – Jalan, Muscat – Sur, Muscat – Shannah, Muscat – Duqm and Muscat – Duqm – Haima, as of Tuesday, 24 September 2019.

“Mwasalat will be closely observing updates from PACA (Public Authority for Civil Aviation),” added the statement. “In case of trip suspension, Mwasalat will communicate the same with the general public. For enquiries, please call 2412-1555 or 2412-1500.”
