Drug smuggling attempt foiled in Oman

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) thwarted an attempt to smuggle eight kilograms of marijuana through the Muscat International Airport.

According to the ROP, the accused tried to hide the marijuana in coats.

The Royal Oman Police said in a statement: "The Department of Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances at Muscat International Airport arrested a passenger of Asian nationality for smuggling of narcotic substances and seized possession of 8.5 kilograms of marijuana which he hid in cold coats."
