Lesser visitors to Salalah festival this year
Nearly 4 thousand people visited this year's Salalah tourism festival during the first two days, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
The figures show the number of tourists that visited Salalah since the start of the festival on June 21 until June 23.
In a statement online, NCSI said: " Up until 23/06/2019 the number of visitors of the Salalah Tourism season reached 3,958 compared to 8,729 during the same period leading to a decrease of 54.7 per cent."
According to the centre, Omanis accounted for 39.7 per cent of the visitors, while UAE nationals accounted for 3.2 per cent and the rest of the GCC nationals accounted for 13 per cent of the visitors.
