MECA CAMPAIGN FOCUSES ON AIR POLLUTION

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs (MECA) organised an awareness campaign on the occasion of the World Environment Day, which falls on June 5 every year. The campaign was titled ‘Roll Back Air Pollution’. 

The theme air pollution was chosen this year keeping in mind its impact on the world and public health. The aim was to spread awareness and mobilise resources to tackle the problem.

Held at the Bareeq al Shatti complex, during the campaign the staff of the ministry spoke on the importance of maintaining air cleanliness, and addressing Oman’s situation in this regard.
