Oman weather: Six expat workers found dead

Muscat: Six Asian expatriates were found dead in an apparent drowning inside a concrete pipe in Muscat governorate, the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) informed on Monday.

“PACDA team found the body of six workers trapped in a concrete pipe in Muscat governorate. The six workers were from Asian nationality and all of them were found dead,” PACDA said in a statement.

On Sunday, PACDA had received a report of six workers who drowned in a water pool in one of the sites of water extension projects at the airport heights in the wilayat of Seeb.

PACDA has urged companies operating in these projects to adhere to safety rules to its protect workers.
