’Employees in Oman cannot be asked to work more than 9 hours’

Muscat: An employer is not permitted to assign an employee work for more than 9 hours daily, the General Federation of Oman Workers said.

"According to the Labour Law, an employer may not assign a worker to work for more than 9 hours per day and for a maximum period of 45 hours per week, provided that there is at least half an hour in between to eat and rest, " a statement by the Federation said.
