Ancient 4,000-Year-Old Water Network Discovered in China

Local authorities in central China discovered an artificial water channel system recently. This fascinating network dates back approximately 4,000 years in Henan Province.

Excavating the Ancient Trenches

Local archaeologist Ma Long currently leads the ongoing site excavations. His dedicated team recently identified two new artificial trenches there.

These distinct trenches date back to the early Xia Dynasty era. Each trench measures exactly three meters wide.

The researchers confirmed a total length of over 120 meters.

A Complete Drainage System

These long trenches run directly from north to south. A massive ten-meter-wide trench connects these two main lines together.

This brilliant design forms a complete ancient water supply network. The ancient builders also created an effective drainage and spatial zoning system.
