Deadly Israeli Airstrikes Target Eastern and Southern Lebanon

Israeli airstrikes killed twelve people in eastern Lebanon recently. These morning and overnight attacks also injured several other civilians.

Massacres and Rescue Efforts

The National News Agency confirmed the tragic details of the attacks. Relief efforts in Mashghara revealed a horrifying massacre by Israeli forces.

Rescue teams completely removed the rubble from targeted houses in the town. Israeli artillery shelling also struck towns in the Tyre and Bint Jbeil districts.

Mass Exodus and Rising Casualties

Residents are fleeing Beirut's southern suburbs in massive numbers right now. Israel threatened to expand its military attacks further across Lebanon.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health updated its emergency casualty figures today. The cumulative death toll rose to 3,185 dead and 9,633 injured.

The ministry started tracking these specific numbers on March 2nd.

Violating the Extended Ceasefire

These deadly Israeli attacks directly violate the current regional ceasefire agreement. The fragile truce originally began on April 16.

Diplomats extended the peace deal for a second time on May 15. The current extension should last for 45 days.
