Global Oil Prices Fall Amid US-Iran Peace Hopes

Global oil prices fell sharply today. Traders await clear signals regarding US and Iran negotiations.

Crude Oil Benchmarks Decline

Brent crude futures dropped 1.53 percent to 98.06 dollars. US West Texas Intermediate crude fell by 2.02 percent.

It settled at 91.99 dollars a barrel today.

Reversing Previous Gains

Oil prices actually jumped four percent yesterday. The US military launched new attacks on Iran recently.

These attacks damaged hopes for an imminent peace agreement.
