Saudi Roads Authority Completes Massive Hajj Infrastructure Upgrades

The Roads General Authority (RGA) successfully finalized its operational plans for the 1447 AH Hajj season today. Specialized teams and advanced equipment now support the entire road network.

The RGA ensures the safe and efficient arrival of all pilgrims to the holy sites.

Extensive Maintenance and Road Safety

Workers repaved asphalt and inspected many bridges across the Kingdom recently. They also installed new safety barriers to protect every traveler on the road.

Crews cleared millions of cubic meters of sand from the major highways. Maintenance teams repaired thousands of lighting poles and directional signs this month.

These essential steps optimize traffic flow and improve visibility for everyone.

High-Tech Monitoring and AI Solutions

The RGA utilizes over 20 modern technologies to enhance national road performance. They deploy the world’s largest AI-powered survey fleet for daily road checks.

Drones monitor the infrastructure continuously from the sky to detect issues early. These advanced tools help the authority maintain global leadership in road connectivity.

The Kingdom currently manages a vast road network exceeding 73,000 kilometers.

Continuous Field Support

Three hundred inspectors provide constant field supervision for the entire road network. The 938 call center also assists road users with real-time support.

These dedicated teams provide a high-quality and secure travel experience for every pilgrim. The authority remains committed to providing the best infrastructure for the Hajj season.
