Saudi Arabia Announces Massive Fines for Hajj Permit Violations

The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced strict new Hajj penalties today. Officials want to ensure complete safety for all worshippers this season.

Fines for Illegal Entry

Authorities will fine rule-breakers up to 20,000 Saudi Riyals. This penalty applies to anyone attempting Hajj without an official permit.

It also applies to regular visit visa holders. These visitors cannot enter Makkah from Dhu al-Qi'dah 1 to Dhu al-Hijjah 14.

Massive Penalties for Smugglers

The ministry established a massive 100,000 Riyal fine for serious enablers. This huge penalty targets people who secure visit visas for illegal pilgrims.

Transporters who smuggle these unauthorized visitors will face the same massive fine. People who shelter or hide these violators will also pay this penalty.

Authorities multiply these fines based on the total number of smuggled individuals.

Deportations and Confiscations

Security forces will deport any resident caught attempting an illegal Hajj. The government will ban these offenders from re-entering Saudi Arabia for 10 years.

Courts will also confiscate any vehicles used to transport illegal pilgrims. This strict rule applies to vehicles owned by transporters or their accomplices.

Appeals and Reporting

Violators can appeal these severe penalties within 30 days. They must submit their appeal to the competent official committee.

They can also challenge committee decisions before the Administrative Court within 60 days. Officials urge everyone to follow the rules and report any violations.
