Oman and France Host First Strategic Diplomatic Dialogue
Oman and France held their first strategic dialogue today. The high-level diplomats met in the beautiful French capital of Paris.
Leading the Diplomatic Teams
Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy led the Omani delegation. He serves as the Undersecretary for Political Affairs.
Martin Prince led the French diplomatic team today. He acts as the Secretary General for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
Expanding Bilateral Cooperation
Both leaders emphasized their strong, deep strategic partnership. They reviewed ongoing bilateral cooperation across multiple vital sectors.
The talks focused heavily on the economy, investment, and energy security. Officials also discussed important culture, education, and training initiatives.
They want to push this cooperation toward more advanced levels soon.
Addressing the Gulf Crisis
The two sides exchanged views on major regional and international issues. They specifically highlighted the current crisis in the Gulf region.
The leaders stressed that dialogue offers the best sustainable solution. They strongly urged all concerned parties to resume peaceful negotiations.

Signing New Labor Agreements
The two governments signed a brand new labor agreement today. This deal provides work permits for spouses of official employees.

Several other prominent diplomats attended this strategic dialogue session. Ambassador Munther bin Mahfoudh Al-Manthari joined the Omani side.
He currently heads the European Department at the Foreign Ministry. Omani Ambassador to France Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Araimi also participated.
French Ambassador to Oman Nabil Hajlaoui represented his nation too. Several other dedicated officials joined the leaders from both sides.
