Asian expatriate assaulted over differences, police make arrest

 An Asian national has been arrested for a stabbing in Muttrah, The Royal Oman Police announced.

"Muscat Police arrested an Asian national in the area of Zabadiyah in Muttrah accused of assaulting another Asian national with a white weapon (knife)," ROP tweeted.
 

"The confrontation occurred because of differences between them. The victim suffered a moderate injury and was transferred to the hospital for treatment, " added an official.

Last month, an Asian national was murdered and his body dumped in a well, ROP revealed.

“The perpetrator threw the body of the victim in an abandoned well in Wilayat of Mahdha to hide the crime, a team was formed after a report on the disappearance of the victim on September 3. An Asian national was arrested on suspicion of the crime.” an ROP officer said.

“The accused guided the probe team to the well in which the suspect had dumped the body. The body bore stab wounds, from white weapons (knives),” the official added.
