COVID-19: Oman tally climbs to 28,566 with 896 fresh cases

Oman Saturday recorded 896 further cases of the novel coronavirus, raising to 28,566 the country's overall infections, the Omani news agency ONA reported.

The newly diagnosed cases include 391 Omanis and 505 foreign residents, the Health Ministry said without providing a nationality breakdown.

The ministry also reported three more deaths from COVID-19 over the previous day, bringing Oman's total of such fatalities to 128.

The country's overall recoveries from the disease has increased by 606 cases to reach 14,780, the ministry said.

There are 99 patients currently receiving intensive care treatment.
