Drug smuggling attempt busted in Oman

The Police Command in Dhofar governorate thwarted the smuggling of a large amount of drugs.

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) said, "Dhofar Governorate's Police Command has foiled attempts of smuggling a large number of qat drug scrolls in the wilayat of Mirbat. In addition, a person has also been arrested on charges of possessing drugs for the purpose of drug trafficking and abuse in the wilayat of Salalah, and legal procedures are being completed against him."
