The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones awarded a massive new contract. Contractors will establish vital roads and infrastructure for the Duqm fisheries industrial zone. The project includes building an 8.7-kilometer internal road network. Engineers will also install complete drinking water, electricity, and telecommunications systems. This monumental development phase will take exactly 12 months to finish.

The fish and food industries complex covers 7.5 square kilometers of land. Total investments in this specific zone already exceed 123 million Omani riyals. The zone sits extremely close to the new multi-purpose marine fishing port.
