Expats arrested for cooking, selling food illegally in Muscat

A group of expat workers were arrested in Muttrah for illegally cooking and storing food for commercial purposes in a house in unhygienic conditions, Muscat Municipality (MM) said.

"Muscat Municipality in Muttrah's Al Kubra department, in cooperation with Royal Oman Police, raided a residential site in Hilat Al Areen in Muttrah.
 

Expat labourers were caught cooking and storing food for commercial purposes in unhealthy conditions; and they destroyed 40 kilograms of food stuff unsuitable for human consumption," MM announced.
