Expats arrested in Oman

Local council officials have stepped up a crackdown on the supply of illegal building material in Hamriah.

Two homes full of illegal building material were raided and expatriates have been arrested for using illegal tools and equipment, according to Muscat Municipality's Twitter account.

The municipality closed and stopped the illegal trade. The accused were referred to judicial authorities to complete legal proceedings against them.
