Five People Arrested in Oman; Royal Police Oman

The Department of Criminal Investigation at the police station in Sur arrested five women of Asian nationality on charges of prostitution, according to a statement from the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

An official source at the ROP said, "Police officers arrested the suspects after they were found in a hotel and hotel apartments in the wilayah, where they admitted to practicing prostitution and violating labour and residence laws."
 

The women have been referred to judicial authorities to complete the rest of the legal proceedings.
