Govt Comm Centre’s Social Media Entry at the Government Communication Forum
The Cultural Centre of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) will conduct the 1st Government Communication Forum on Monday. The Ministry of Information in partnership with the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers who represents the Government Communication Centre, Public Authority for Radio and Television (PART) and SQU are jointly organising the forum.
The attendees of the opening ceremony would include their highnesses, employees of government institutions, officials and ministers. The first day of the event is expected to be the day for the Government Communication Centre social media official account launch.The public media departments and public media departments have an integrated role by this electronic presence. The society and government would maintain an effective communication through various modes of media channels. As directed by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos to establish the centre to run in tandem with the modern technical mechanisms as the modern technical modes of communication has been the depending factor for the centre.
Two of the leading international experiences would be hosted at the first day of the Government Communication Forum which would only portray the Singaporean and British models.
Amidst economic changes, the British government’s Head of the Government Communication Unit would review the Government Communication model whereas the experience of Singapore would be reviewed by the Singapore’s Head of Government Communication.
To maximise the benefits of other experiences, additionally there would be a discussion between presenters and audience regarding their international experiences.
A specialised workshop regarding the importance of media planning in facing crisis along with the importance of transmitting the right information at the right time has been a top priority of the Government Communication Centre for building a trustworthy relationship among private and government entities.
The hosts of the workshop would include an associate professor at the SQU College of Arts and Social Sciences, the National Committee for Civil Defense and the Ministry of Tourism. The effective practices of crisis management will be the main focus of the workshop.
A discussion on visual content and its role in the institutions will be organised by the centre as it is an ideal framework in providing news and information and an effective factor for the public as the visual content in promoting institutions communication, the centre will organise a discussion on visual content has an effective role of in promoting institutions communication.
Finally, the centre clearly shows its interest in launching the apt communication system between the society and government on the basis of the impact of the Omani symbols so as to achieve knowledge exchange and increasing community awareness.
