Heavy rains, overflowing wadis in Oman

Heavy rain fell in Amerat, Buraimi, Rustaq, Sumail, Sohar and in Liwa on Wednesday.

"Rains fell in the afternoon. Some wadis are overflowing," Bader Ali Al Baddaei, an administrator of www.rathth.net, a local web-based forum that discusses weather in Oman, told to us.
 

The Royal Oman Police also issued this warning for drivers, "Between light and moderate rain on Qurrayat-Sur road in Amerat. Drivers of vehicles should pay attention to the road and drive cautiously."

In its 24-hour outlook, the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Centre, said: "Clear to partly cloudy skies over parts of the coastal areas of Oman Sea, South Al Sharqiyah and Al Wusta governorates with chance of isolated rain. Mainly clear skies over the rest of the Sultanate."
