Hiked rents at New Muttrah fish market upset shopkeepers
While management company struggles to break even, shopkeepers at the state-of-the-art, new Muttrah Fish Market are bemoaning the hike in rental fees.
Meat and poultry shops are the worst-hit.Also about the price hike fruit and vegetable sellers, who have moved to the new market are unhappy. The sellers said that they are paying significantly more than we were in the old market which also had more storage
The municipality has stated that the concerns of the shopkeepers and the management company would be considered.
Finally the management company Unique Dana International has stated that before things can run smoothly adjustments have to be made as with all major projects.
