Ratifying The OIC Charter Amendment

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq issued two Royal Decrees today. Royal Decree No. (87/2026) ratifies an amendment to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Charter. The decree references the state's constitution and previous Royal Decree No. 44/2015. It also references a specific decision made by the Council of Foreign Ministers. Article 1 ratifies the amendment to paragraph 1 of Article 8 of the Charter. Article 2 requires the competent authorities to deposit the document of ratification appropriately. Visa Exemption Agreement With Rwanda

Royal Decree No. (88/2026) ratifies an agreement between Oman and the Republic of Rwanda. The agreement concerns the mutual exemption from visa requirements for specific passports. It applies directly to holders of diplomatic, special, and service passports. The two nations signed the original agreement in Salalah on September 8, 2026. Article 1 ratifies the aforementioned agreement according to its attached formula. Article 2 mandates the publication and immediate implementation of the decree.
