Initiative launched to celebrate the sultanate’s 47th National day

H E Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs on Monday launched the ‘Our Glorious November... Around the world’ initiative to celebrate Oman’s 47th National Day at his office at Muaskar Bait al Falaj.

The initiative was launched in the presence of Hamood bin Mohammed al Azri, general supervisor of the Oman-Qaboos website.

As part of the initiative, people from any part of the world can greet His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on www.oman-qaboos.com  on the occasion of the 47th National Day.

The initiative is part of the celebrations launched by the website which highlights the life and achievements of His Majesty the Sultan in 30 international languages and to celebrate the completion of His Majesty the Sultan’s 47 years of rule. “H E Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, praised the initiative launched by the website, which undoubtedly reflects the continuation of this national project, which through an electronic window ensures gratitude and loyalty to our great leader His Majesty the Sultan,” according to a statement.

H E Busaidi also appreciated the efforts of the website staff.

Azri expressed happiness over the initiative, which will record the love people have for His Majesty the Sultan in their own language. “The e-initiative is available in 30 languages, so that people can express their love and happiness and congratulate His Majesty the Sultan in their own language,” said Azri.

The initiative has received wide support from embassies in Oman and from the sultanate’s embassies abroad. The website administration will make the option of e-initiative sharing available. “This has already been designed and translated into all languages,” said Azri.

“We invite you to share imparting the light of the e-initiative on our beloved leader. This initiative will go on until the end of December,” he said.

Exchanges will also continue between the website’s administration and the embassies where they read, revise and publish the commentaries.

Azri said expatriates and citizens are keen to take part in a celebration filled with the feeling of love and loyalty for His Majesty the Sultan as are Omanis and others from all over the world.

“I can only thank H E Busaidi for supporting the initiative by launching it, the ambassadors and diplomats for supporting the initiative and every one for contributing to the success and continuity of this initiative,” he said.

“We are inviting all Omani and residents to make this initiative more creative by participating through our website www.oman-qaboos.com .”
