Labour law violators deported from Oman

A total of 561 workers were deported after violating the labour law, last week, the Ministry of Manpower announced.

The ministry has published its weekly index on workers who violated the labour laws from September 10 to September 16.

The weekly report of the joint inspection team at the Ministry of Manpower said that of the total, 447 were commercial workers, 240 abandoned their posts, 64 were farm workers and 50 housemaids were found violating the labour law.

The Governorate of Muscat witnessed the largest number of workers violating the law with150 followed by the Governorate of North Al Batinah with 92.
