Legal action taken against five people in Muscat

Five people, including a woman, were booked in Muscat governorate who posted a video clip on social media that offended the indigenous Omani community.

A statement issued online by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said, “Muscat Governorate Police Command booked five people, including a woman, on charges of posting a video clip on social media that offended the public modesty and the indigenous Omani community.”

“The accused were referred to the judicial authorities for legal proceedings.” the statement added.
