More expats to be replaced in this part of Oman

Muscat: The Undersecretary for Labour at the Ministry of Labour in Oman has visited a number of establishments in Sur Industrial City and directs the companies to replace and create job opportunities for citizens. 

 

A statement issued online by Ministry of Labour said, "Sheikh Nasr bin Amer bin Al Hosni, Undersecretary for Labour at the Ministry of Labour, visited Sur Industrial City “Madayn” in the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah. He also visited the Oman Liquefied Natural Gas Company and the Oman Indian Company for Fertilizer, which comes within the ministry’s direction to focus on replacing and creating job opportunities for citizens within the framework of partnership and cooperation with private sector establishments."

 

 

"His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry listened to work on work procedures in establishments and employment and to create a suitable work environment that guarantees the stability of the national workforce. His Excellency met with the General Director of Sur Industrial City (Madayn) Eng. Abdul Qadir bin Salem Al Balushi, and they agreed to replace the expatriate with the national workforce in the higher and middle occupations to organise the labour market and exchange ideas and visions aimed at creating new and continuous job opportunities for the national workforce."

 

"His Excellency also expressed his interest in exporting the skills and expertise of the national workforce of the Oman LNG through the programs of preparing young leaders in the private sector and the company's efforts in implementing the ICV strategy, and the accompanying training programs to improve levels of efficiency in accordance with internationally recognized standards. The company also took the initiative, in cooperation with the Ministry, to approve the funding of the nurse training program."

 

"His Excellency appreciated the Omani Indian Fertilizer Company's readiness to replace, as well as the contribution to training 100 job seekers in the fields and programs of occupational safety and health and continuous coordination with the Ministry of Labour in this regard, which comes from its national duty towards the homeland."
