Municipality cracks down on garages, barber shops

More than 20 health fines were issued against barber shops in Al Seeb and a number of shops in Al-Mubaila.

"Inspectors from food control department of Muscat Municipality in Seeb has inspected 42 barber shops. They have issued 21 health fines and confiscated 80 non-usable items," officials announced online.

In a separate inspection, "the field follow-up team has shut down a number of shops in Al-Mubaila industrial area which engaged in unauthorised commercial activities. Measures have been taken according to the applicable regulations," officials added.
