National Committee Discusses Vital Family Support Mechanisms
The National Committee for Family Affairs held its first official meeting for 2026 today. Minister of Social Development Dr Laila bint Ahmed Al-Najjar chaired the important session.
Committee members gathered at the Ministry headquarters to discuss crucial societal topics.
Addressing Divorce and Alimony
The members focused heavily on divorce and proposed mechanisms to mitigate its negative effects. They also tackled the serious issue of individuals refusing to pay required alimony.
The committee wants to find smart ways to achieve the best interests of children. Protecting the overall stability of the entire family unit remains their top priority.
Finally, the officials reviewed and discussed several specific laws related to family affairs.
