Noted sports journalist dies

Muscat: Sports journalist Yaqoub bin Yusef Al-Zadjali, has died on Monday, December 14, 2020.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said : "The Sports journalist , Yaqoub bin Yusef Al-Zadjali, passed away today, Monday, after leading a life full of accomplishments, the most important of which was his obtaining in 1993, the Youth Shield."

He also represented the Sultanate in carrying the torch of the Olympic Games held in China in 2008. He was awarded the Arab Sports Media Medal in 2011.
