Story Line:Hostiles is a 2017 period western film written and directed by Scott Cooper, based on an original story by Donald E. Stewart, the Academy Award-winning screenwriter of the 1982 film Missing. It stars Christian Bale, Rosamund Pike, Wes Studi, Adam Beach, Ben Foster, Jesse Plemons, Rory Cochrane, and Q'orianka Kilcher. The film takes place in 1892, and follows an Army captain who is tasked with escorting a dying Cheyenne war chief and his family back to their tribal lands.
