Oman And Rwanda Sign Major Strategic Agreements And Memoranda Of Understanding

Expanding Bilateral Cooperation In Salalah

The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Rwanda signed several major agreements today. The signing ceremony took place at the prestigious Al-Hosn Palace in Salalah. The event occurred during the official visit of Rwandan President Paul Kagame. The two nations want to strengthen areas of cooperation and strategic economic partnership. They signed two formal agreements and six distinct memoranda of understanding. The first agreement establishes mutual visa exemptions for specific official passport holders.

Boosting Investment And Trade Logistics

The second major agreement completely eliminates double taxation between the two countries. This crucial financial step will highly encourage cross-border corporate investment. The memoranda of understanding cover a wide variety of vital economic sectors. They include agriculture, logistics, and the advanced development of land and dry ports. The nations also agreed to cooperate on supply chain services and investment promotion. His Excellency Mr. Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi signed the agreements for Oman.

A New Era Of Economic Partnership

His Excellency Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, also signed documents. His Excellency Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri represented the Ministry of Commerce. Ali bin Talib Al Maawali signed on behalf of Oman Aviation Investments. His Excellency Oliver Nduhungrehe signed the agreements on the Rwandan side. He was joined by several high-ranking Rwandan economic and agricultural ministers. Juliana Muganza, Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Development Board, also participated.
