Developing Modern School Infrastructure

The Musandam Governorate is witnessing the implementation of major educational development projects. The total value of these construction and renovation projects reaches 27.3 million Omani riyals. The government aims to develop basic infrastructure and increase student capacity across local schools. They want to improve the educational environment and provide modern technical facilities. These upgrades align with the rapid population growth and urban expansion currently occurring there. His Excellency Sheikh Mahmoud bin Sulaiman Al Maamari serves as the Wali of Bukha. He also chairs the active Parents’ Council in the state. He stated these projects keep pace with the evolving needs of students.

Expanding Capacity Across The Region

There is continuous coordination between the Governor's office and the Directorate General of Education. They monitor and address the specific needs of schools and students collaboratively. Nabila bint Abdullah Al-Shehhi serves as the Director General of Education in Musandam. She stated ongoing projects include adding classrooms at Al-Nasr Boys' School in Madha. Contractors are also constructing two brand new schools in the Wilayats of Khasab and Madha. The projects include comprehensive maintenance work and equipping new science and technology laboratories. The directorate provides interactive screens and satellite internet services for remote schools. The project at Al-Nasr Boys' School costs 810,800 Omani rials and adds 18 classrooms.

The new Seih Al Mahasin School in Khasab costs more than two million Omani riyals. This facility consists of 40 classrooms, science labs, computer labs, and a triple playground. The capacity of Seih Al Mahasin School reaches an impressive 1,400 students. The directorate works heavily to provide an integrated digital educational infrastructure for all students. They enable students to benefit from modern learning tools and develop digital economy skills. The next phase will witness the establishment of artificial intelligence and innovation labs.
