Oman Ministry of Health: Two new hospitals for the Country
The Oman Ministry of Health has announced that two new hospitals are to open in Khasab and Suwaiq. Built on an area of 100,000 square metres, with a capacity of around 150 beds would be the way how the new Khasab Hospital project will be done and on an area of more than 200,000 square metres, consisting of three floors and 260 beds would be the manner the new Suwaiq Hospital will be built.
An outpatient department, a kidney unit, day care unit, an intensive care unit for adults, a paediatric intensive care unit and a preterm infants unit will be also included in the Khasab Hospital.
Burns and orthodontic units as well as a maternity ward, operating theatres, a cardiac intensive care unit and an orthopaedic department will be also included in both hospitals.
Finally, the minister announced that the cost of all the declared projects is more than OMR 270 million, funded by the British Export Guarantee Agency.
