Oman Opens Al Salwa Addiction Rehabilitation Hospital in Sohar
Health Minister Dr Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti opened the Al Salwa Hospital today. This new facility treats addiction patients in the Wilayat of Sohar.
A Major Public-Private Partnership
The Ministry of Health partnered with Al Salwa Healthcare Company successfully. The Ministry of Finance and Jusoor Foundation provided essential funding.
Dr Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Balushi directs health services in North Al Batinah. He called this the first integrated rehabilitation center of its kind.
It represents a fantastic partnership with the private healthcare sector.
Comprehensive Treatment Services
The hospital serves patients from several different regional governorates. It targets individuals struggling with dangerous substance use disorders.
Medical teams provide comprehensive psychological, social, and rehabilitation services here. The treatment program lasts anywhere from several weeks to six months.
Doctors tailor these timelines based on specific individual patient needs.
Facility Phases and Capacity
The Minister of Health toured the four main hospital buildings today. Phase one features thirty beds, specialized clinics, and group therapy halls.
The upcoming second phase will add a specialized detoxification department. This new addition will provide twenty-five more beds for recovering patients.
The Path to Complete Recovery
The hospital staff coordinates closely with the Muscat Recovery Center. They assess new cases and prepare highly individualized treatment plans.
Experts run helpful behavior modification and relapse prevention programs daily. They also provide essential vocational and social rehabilitation training.
These efforts help patients safely reintegrate into normal society. North Al Batinah Governor Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi also attended today.
Several other dignitaries and government officials joined the opening celebration.
