Oman Sultan Welcomes Thai Deputy Prime Minister in Muscat
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq welcomed Sihasak Phuangketkeow today. Phuangketkeow serves as the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Thailand.
The leaders held their important meeting at Al-Barakah Palace.
Exchanging Royal Greetings
The Thai minister conveyed warm greetings from King Maha Vajiralongkorn. The King wished the Sultan continued health and absolute happiness.
He also wished the Omani people further progress and prosperity. The Sultan returned his sincere greetings to the Thai King.
He wished the friendly Thai nation continued growth and well-being.
Gratitude for Maritime Rescue
Phuangketkeow expressed deep appreciation from the Thai government and people. He thanked Oman for its swift and constructive humanitarian response.
Omani forces recently evacuated a Thai ship crew safely. This successful rescue operation occurred in the Strait of Hormuz.
Strengthening Economic and Diplomatic Ties
The two leaders discussed ways to enhance their bilateral cooperation. They explored new economic, commercial, cultural, and tourism partnerships.
They also addressed current regional and international security developments. The officials reviewed global economic impacts and maritime navigation safety.
The Thai minister praised the Sultan for his diplomatic wisdom. The Sultan always supports peaceful dialogue to resolve complex conflicts.
Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi joined the discussions. Several senior Thai diplomats also attended this high-level royal meeting.
