As there were certain important happenings in Oman this week, below are certain top stories which made the headlines in our weekly news roundup:
With a multiple entry one year visa, the tourists could stay in Oman for a week longer now as the Royal Oman Police has issued new regulations for the same. The Foreigner Residency Law, has been amended by extending the length of stay of tourists in Oman from three weeks at a time to one month for one year visa holders by the force.
By the end of this year, Salalah's first water park, Hawana Aqua Park is expected to be opened as announced by the authorities. Up to 500 people could be accommodated in this new world class water park with the aim to entertain people of all age groups. Exceeding 65000 square metres the total developed land area would have retail shopping area, large parking area for guests and a dedicated food court.
According to the National Centre for Early Warning and Risks at the Public Authority for Civil Aviation, northern Oman is expected to receive rain within the next month. Most of the coast of the Sultanate would have low clouds with Musandam and northern Oman to have an increasing probability of winter rains.
