Omani Beekeepers Obliterate Previous Records As Local Honey Production Explodes Past 934,000 Kilograms
North Al Sharqiyah Dominates The Agricultural Sector With Massive Output Volumes
Omani agricultural workers just completely shattered national honey production records. The local market experienced massive growth between 2023 and 2025. Production violently exploded from 623,313 kilograms up to a staggering 934,443 kilograms. North Al Sharqiyah Governorate aggressively dominated the national output charts last year. Local beekeepers there produced a massive 248,547 kilograms of pure honey.
Despite this massive local success, Oman still imports significant foreign honey products. The Sultanate spent over 2.1 million Omani riyals on filtered natural honey. Chinese suppliers aggressively captured the absolute largest share of these imports. Indian and Saudi Arabian companies also secured massive local supply contracts. Oman even imported wooden beehives directly from Egyptian agricultural suppliers.
Omani Exporters Aggressively Conquer The Regional Middle Eastern Markets
Meanwhile, Omani producers aggressively export their premium honey across the Middle East. Omani exports of filtered natural honey hit 648,274 Omani riyals recently. Lebanon currently buys the absolute most filtered Omani natural honey. Qatar and Jordan also purchase massive quantities of this premium agricultural product. Local agriculture continues to aggressively drive the non-oil economy forward.
