Omanis Still in Jail who were Arrested in India

The Eight Omanis who were arrested last month as confirmed by the Indian police officials are still in jail.

The Indian police officers had alleged that the arrested Omanis had married underage girls.

The Oman Human Rights Commission Chairman had held a discussion with the Indian Ambassador in Muscat recently. The former had appealed to the Ambassador for releasing the detained Omanis without harm. Everything possible within the purview of the Indian law would be done as promised by the Ambassador

Finally, the commission has stated that  it is in touch with Oman Embassy in India and the Mumbai consulate along with the concerned citizens in this matter.
