Oman’s Airports Used by Record Number of Passengers this Year

Oman Airport Management Company (OAMC) statistics showed that the airports in the country performance soared in 2017. So far this year the airports at Duqm, Muscat and Salalah had great improvement in the total number of flights and passengers.

Compared to the last year, with above nine million passengers, the total number of passengers crossing Muscat International Airport has reached over 10-and-a-half million until the end of September for the first time.

With a 24.5 per cent increase, the Salalah airport  had a successful year with above a million passengers in total as per the data. As per the OAMC statistics, the number of trips has increased to 41 per cent in Salalah airport in an unprecedented manner.

Finally, the Sohar airport was the high performing one with about 23,600 passengers transiting from June to September end as per the OAMC.
