On Royal directive, first session of Council of Oman to end on July 16

Sheikh Ahmed bin Muhammad Al Nadabi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council has informed that the first annual session for the ninth period of the Council of Oman will end on Thursday, July 16, 2020.

This is based on the Supreme directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

“His Majesty has directed to adjourn the first annual session (2019-2020) from the ninth session of the Council as of Thursday, corresponding July 16, 2020,” the statement by Oman News Agency said.

"The Oman Council shall have a regular session of at least eight months of the year, to be held at the invitation of His Majesty the Sultan during the month of November of each year,” the statement added.
