Pilgrims Continue Stoning Ritual on the Third Day of Eid

Pilgrims continue the stoning ritual today. They throw stones at the three pillars in Mina. This marks the third day of Eid al-Adha.

Guidelines from the Omani Hajj Mission

Azzan bin Nasser Al-Amri heads the Fatwa and Religious Guidance delegation. He represents the official Omani Hajj mission in Saudi Arabia.

He explained the stoning process during the days of Tashreeq. Pilgrims throw pebbles at the small, middle, and large Jamarat.

They throw exactly seven pebbles at each individual pillar.

Rules for Early Departure

Pilgrims can hasten their departure from Mina safely. They must throw pebbles on the first and second days. They must leave Mina before sunset.

This relieves them of spending the thirteenth night there. Pilgrims staying longer throw stones on the third day too.

All pilgrims must perform the Farewell Tawaf before leaving Mecca.
