Pilgrims Perform Sacred Day of Sacrifice Rituals at Hajj

Millions of pilgrims celebrate the blessed Day of Sacrifice today. They stone the Great Jamarat al-Aqaba first.

Next, the faithful sacrifice their designated animals. They finally leave the sacred state of ihram.

The crowds then walk to the Sacred House. They perform the Tawaf al-Ifadah as the second Hajj pillar.

Moving From Arafat to Muzdalifah

The pilgrims traveled to Muzdalifah late last night. They followed the ancient traditions of Prophet Muhammad.

Earlier, they completed the greatest pillar of Hajj. They stood in deep prayer on Mount Arafat.

Smooth Crowd Management at Jamarat

Security teams manage the massive crowds extremely well. Pilgrims throw their stones at the Jamarat smoothly.

An integrated field service system guides the faithful. Strict organizational procedures maintain total safety for everyone.

Completing the Final Hajj Rituals

After finishing Tawaf al-Ifadah, pilgrims head back to Mina. They spend the nights of Tashreeq there peacefully.

The believers complete their remaining stoning rituals next. They conclude their Hajj journey with the Farewell Tawaf.

Saudi authorities released the total pilgrim numbers today. Exactly 1,707,301 faithful Muslims perform Hajj this year.

This massive group includes 893,396 dedicated male pilgrims. The remaining 813,905 participants represent female pilgrims.
