Public Authority for Consumer Protection recovers RO 1,000 in Oman

In the first case, a consumer filed a complaint against a furniture store because the delivery of his furniture was delayed. Authorities summoned the concerned parties and a settlement was reached where the furniture store returned RO 500 to the consumer.

 

In the second case, the authorities received a complaint against a labour recruitment company. The consumer had signed a contract with the office and even paid a sum of RO500, but they failed to help him get a housemaid. When the office did not respond to his request to return the money, he filed a complaint. A settlement was reached and the office agreed to pay the consumer.
