Red arrows aerobatics team performs in Muscat today

The British Air Forces' aerobatic team, Red Arrows, one of the world's premier display teams with a reputation of exhilarating and spectacular displays of precision formation flying, will conduct displays at Shatti al Qurm beach on Tuesday.

The Red Arrows will be back in Muscat to perform their world-famous display on October 3. They will fly a 23-minute display from 3pm over Shatti al Qurm beach. The public are invited to attend to view the display,” stated a press release from the British Embassy in Muscat. Working with the British government's GREAT campaign, the UK's biggest ever marketing campaign, the Red Arrows are flying the flag and engaging with some of the UK's most strategic and important partners in the Gulf. Oman and the UK enjoy strong bilateral relationships, have excellent trade links and military cooperation. “The Red Arrows visit underlines the UK's continued commitment to this enduring relationship,” said a press release.

 

As part of the Red Arrows visit, the UK Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to Oman, Lord Astor of Hever, and the British Ambassador H E Hamish Cowell, will host a lunch for a broad section of UK and Omani businesspersons.

The British Council will host a UK Alumni event for Omanis who graduated from the UK universities, at which they will be able to speak to Red Arrows pilots and engineers. There will also be an event at Musannah College of Technology, to give students in the engineering faculty an opportunity to hear from the Red Arrows' engineers about their careers. The press release said Red Arrows epitomises the skill, agility, teamwork and precision of the Royal Air Force.

“The team relishes the opportunity to travel abroad, demonstrating their professionalism and abilities as true ambassadors for the best of British,” stated the release.
