ROP officials have denied rumours about number plates change

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have stated that there is no truth about the development of new vehicle registration number plates in Oman. 

ROP officials have denied rumours spreading on social media sites and apps that it was planning to change the design of vehicle number plates.

“This news has already been denied and depend only from official sources for updates,” the ROP tweeted on Wednesday.

The image showed a completely re-designed number plate, complete with an Omani flag on a white background. “This is fake,” the source at ROP added.  ROP has requested the public to discount all such rumours and to trust only news published through official channels.
