Royal Oman Police : Four Omanis arrested on charges of theft

Four Omanis have been arrested on charges of theft, impersonating police officials and assault in Salalah. The arrests have been made by the Department of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations at Dhofar Police Command in cooperation with Salalah Police.

ROP official said, “Four citizens entered an apartment in Salalah, disguised as policemen and forced the victim to hand over his mobile phones. They also stole money and fled from the spot.”

After receiving a complaint, the police launched a hunt to nab the culprits. “The accused have confessed to the crime. They were responsible for committing three similar crimes in the past. They have been referred to the judicial authorities to complete the investigation.”
