Sayyid Shihab Welcomes Algerian Military Leader in Muscat

His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said hosted an important meeting today. He serves as the Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs.

He welcomed Lieutenant General Said Chengriha to his office. Chengriha serves as the Chief of Staff of the Algerian military.

Discussing Strong Bilateral Ties

The leaders met at the Al Murtafa’a Camp in Muscat. Sayyid Shihab warmly welcomed the visiting Algerian guest.

The two leaders reviewed the strong brotherly relations between their nations. Oman and Algeria share a deep and friendly historical bond.

The officials discussed several important defense topics of common interest.

Key Military Officials Attend

Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi attended the meeting. He serves as the Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces.

The Algerian Ambassador to Oman also joined the diplomatic discussions.
